Ground Zero: First Time Attending a Networking Event with Trisha Lewis

Today's article is on the latest episode of Ground Zero with Trisha Lewis where we look into his first time attending a networking event. First, let's hear from our Guest Trisha.

Meet Our Guest -

Hi - I'm Trisha Lewis and I'm on an 'unsquashing' mission!

A more LinkedIn style description would be 'communication and confidence coach'.

About 7 years ago, I entered the business world and felt a bit discombobulated.

My portfolio career before this included - actor, entertainer, speaker, funeral celebrant and reminiscence facilitator! Although I did start off back in the late 70s in the 'Mad Men' advertising world.

When I realised what lay behind my discombobulated feelings - I knew I wasn't alone.

I was struggling to show up fully as me! I was beset with comparisonitis, should-traps and something that felt a bit like impostor syndrome.

I took a slightly more upbeat approach to impostor syndrome though - enter my term 'self-squashing'!

A book, podcast and TEDx were born.

The story I tell in my TEDx is about business networking - a before and after story.

This is the topic we explore in this episode!

Oh - and here in my 67th year - I'm a new climber! Comfort-zone stretching rocks! #nevertooold.

Stay curious and unsquashed x
